Software Engineer

Hello, I am Carolina Albuquerque, a Software Engineer working remotely.

In September 2021, I started my professional experience at Nokia as a Frontend Software Engineer working essentially with React, Typescript and Jest. Beyond web development I also have a special interest on mobile development.

I defend remote work in the IT area due to the increase of individual productivity resulting from a decrease of fatigue as well as the increase of concentration. Nonetheless, face-to-face contact with teams is importante and I advocate the existance of team buildings provide face-to-face moments outside the scope of work.

I am an open person regarding team work who accepts well constructive opinions to avoid future mistakes. Futhermore, I am super compatible with Agile work methodologies due to being an organized person.

As hobbies, I appreciate photography and video, having been recognized several times by portuguese photography blog pages. Travelling arround the world makes me happy.

BeingCare

Flutter-based full stack system developed within the scope of the Master's Dissertation. The system contains a Flutter mobile app with an audio classification model to recognize relevant audio events detected (critical and non-critical) and share them automatically, with the help of a message broker and REST services. A Flutter web application was also developed in order to report critical situations and centralize the information shared with the system. Backend services implemented using Jaguar, a Dart-based framework to build REST APIs.

Android application developed based on Android architectural components using the weather IPMA API to extract updated data and display the current weather conditions in a location
